Selling Your Home? Deep Clean Your Bathroom

The bathroom can always use a good cleaning. Even if you already give it a good weekly scrubbing, if you plan to sell your home, a deep cleaning is nothing short of absolutely necessary. Here are a few tips that will help you to get your bathroom sparkling clean!

Cleaning the Tub?

Getting those stubborn stains and spots off of your bathtub can be tricky. Try using an all-purpose cleaner and letting it sit for a bit. If that doesn’t work, add a fairly deep layer of sodium bicarb and let it sit for around 15 minutes. Then, use a microfibre cloth to wipe everything down. If that still doesn’t get it clean, you can soak a cotton coil with bleach and line the water marks with it. Let it sit overnight and then rinse, and those stubborn stains should be gone.

Don’t forget to make sure you clean your bath mats as well! Throw them in the washer while you’re cleaning the bathroom, and they’ll look amazing when you’re finished.

Bathroom Extractor Fan

When was the last time you cleaned your bathroom extractor fan? If you haven’t cleaned it in awhile, you might be surprised at just how much buildup is on it. Make sure you take the cover off, clean the fan and then clean the vent cover. You can even use a coat of wax to stop build-up in the future!

The Toilet

Did you know you can take two denture tablets, plunk them into the reservoir of your toilet tank, let it sit overnight and any stains inside the tank will be gone? Also, make sure that you actually remove the toilet seat when you’re cleaning to get a thorough clean.
